B A C K P A C K

i will be venturing to canada with my sister for five days and can only bring a carry-on bag that will comfortably house my belongings while we roam and explore calgary. what could i fit in my ralph lauren chaps sack?

roll call:

two pants

two sweaters

one shirt

two scarfs

one hoodie

two shoes (one for hiking, the other for other things)

one jacket

toiletries

notebook

camera

bible

keep in mind that i will have a number of these items on when traveling, so i will have tons of room in this bag. i had to plan my outfits a week out so that i didn't overpack.

50 DOLLAR CHALLENGE | GAP

Good things come to those who wait.

Yesterday was pay day. I wanted to update my wardrobe with more basic and classic items that could be worn with anything. Thursday, I went to GAP and found they were having a 50% off sale...but I was only browsing. I just wanted to see what was available so that I would know whether it was worth it or not to come back on Friday. Well, with Friday came the additional 40% off. That's right. I was elated. $160 worth of pants for less than $50!! Oh it is so, Joe!

The Tomgirl Series | Layers

I am already missing winter layering now that I am back in Florida. the Germans have a simple layering system which takes out a lot of the bulk and adds a lot of style. Its muggy here even though its 60 degrees outside, so there isn't much room for layering. But oh man, when that February Freeze, you better believe I will be layering it up! What about the rest of you? How do you layer during the winter months? I would love to see your post on it.
